Payments with Network Tokens for Merchants
This section contains information on making payments with network tokens for
merchants.
Network tokens are network scheme (Visa, Mastercard, Amex, etc.) generated tokens that
represent customer card information for secure transactions. Network tokens are mapped
to instrument identifier tokens. The minimum card data required to request a network
token is the PAN and the expiration date.
Payments are made using network tokens by default for merchants. To authorize a
payment ignoring the network token, you must indicate this in the request. For
