If your store is shielding its Wi-Fi server from the general public, it is using a proxy server and requires a different configuration.
- On the IDLE screen, tapSettings.
- When prompted, touch the password field to display a keyboard. Enter 9876 as the Settings password, tap the green check mark at the bottom of the keyboard, and tapOK.

- In the Settings list that appears, slide theWi-Fitoggle switch to the right to enable Wi-Fi. The switch is green when enabled.

- Tap theWi-Fifield. The Wi-Fi screen appears, listing the detected Wi-Fi networks.
- In the upper-right corner of the Wi-Fi screen, tap the three vertical dots and chooseAdd network. The Add network screen appears.

- When the Add network screen, in theNetworkname field, enter the SSID for the Wi-Fi network. This field is case-sensitive.

- From theSecuritydrop-down menu, and touch the field and choose a security type.
- If the selected type of security prompts for a password, enter the password to access the network. This field is case-sensitive.
- TapAdvanced Optionsand scroll upward to view additional fields.
- From theProxymenu, chooseManual. Additional fields become available, but you might need to scroll the screen upward to see them.

- In theProxy hostnamefield, enter the proxy host name.
- In theProxy port field, enter the port number for the proxy server.

If a bypass proxy is used, enter that information in theBypass proxy forfield. - TapIP settings, and chooseStaticfrom the menu. Scroll upward to see additional fields.

- In theNetwork prefix lengthfield, enter the prefix length for the subnetwork.
- In theDNS 1field, enter the IP address for the first domain name system server.
- In theDNS 2field, enter the IP address for the back-up domain name system server.
