Enabling Offline Mode for Offline Sale or Refund Transactions

This section describes how to enable Offline mode on the PAX terminal. When internet connectivity is not available, you can use this mode to process offline sale or refund transactions.
Offline mode is a customizable feature that you can enable in the
Business Center
. The default setting is
Disabled
. For more information, see Customizing the Acceptance Devices App.
IMPORTANT
The recommendation is to resume operating in online mode as soon as internet connectivity is available. In order to do this, you must first disable Offline mode.
Follow these steps to enable Offline mode on the PAX terminal:
  1. On the PAX terminal home screen, open the Acceptance Devices app. The Terminal connected screen appears.

  2. Tap the
    Settings
    gear icon.

  3. Enter the passcode that you created when setting up the PAX terminal. The Setting screen appears.

  4. Tap
    Offline Mode
    . The current status is shown as
    Disabled
    . The Offline Mode screen appears.

  5. Toggle
    Enable Offline Mode
    to
    ON
    . The device is now operating in Offline mode.

  6. The Terminal connected screen shows that Offline mode is enabled. Tap the back navigation arrow to return to the home screen. You can now process offline sale or refund transactions on the device.
