Disabling Offline Mode for Offline Sale or Refund Transactions

This section describes how to disable Offline mode on the PAX terminal. This mode can be used when internet connectivity is not available to process online transactions. The recommendation is to resume processing online transactions as soon as internet connectivity becomes available. In order to resume operating in Online mode, you must first disable Offline mode.
Follow these steps to disable Offline mode on the PAX terminal:
  1. On the PAX terminal home screen, open the Acceptance Devices app.

  2. The Terminal connected screen shows that Offline mode is enabled. Tap the
    Settings
    gear icon.

  3. Enter the passcode that you created when setting up the PAX terminal. The Setting screen appears.

  4. Tap
    Offline Mode
    . The current status is shown as

  5. Toggle
    Enable Offline Mode
    to
    OFF
    . If you have pending offline transactions (as shown in this example), you will be prompted to submit the transactions before the device switches to Online mode. Follow the prompts to complete the submission process.

  6. The Terminal connected screen appears. Tap the back navigation arrow to return to the home screen. You can now resume processing online sale or refund transactions on the device.
