Accessing Device Logs on a Test or Debug PAX Terminal
Device logs are useful for troubleshooting terminal-related issues on a test or debug
terminal. These are the types of logs that you can access on a PAX terminal using a
Windows computer:
- BroadPOS logs:These logs are namedbroadpos_logyyyymmdd.logand are stored in/sdcard/Android/data/com.pax.us.pay.std.broadpos.p2pe/files.
- POSLink logs:These logs are namedPOSLINKyyyymmdd.logand are located in the root folder.
IMPORTANT
You cannot access the device logs directly on a live terminal. To get access to live
device logs, contact terminals@cybersource.com.
Accessing the BroadPOS Log on a Test or Debug PAX Terminal
You can use the BroadPOS log to troubleshoot and debug the PAX terminal. Follow
these steps to access the BroadPOS log using a Windows computer:
- Connect the PAX terminal to a Windows computer using the USB cable provided with the terminal. The computer detects the terminal.
- OpenFile Explorer.
- Choose thedevice folder.A35
- ClickInternal storage > Android > data > comp.pax.us.pay.std.broadpos.p2pein the device folder.
- Choose a BroadPOS log file. The BroadPOS log file names start withBroadPOSand append the date to the file names in this format:BroadPOS_logYYYYMMDD.

You can use the POSLink log to troubleshoot and debug the PAX terminal. Follow
these steps to access the POSLink log using a Windows computer:
- Connect the PAX terminal to a Windows computer using the USB cable provided with the terminal. The computer detects the terminal.
