Introduction to the eCheck Service
The eCheck payment service enables merchants to accept electronic check payments using a
variety of methods, including mail, telephone, and online orders.
There are two main types of eCheck transactions:
- A charge is initiated to take money from a customer's bank account and transfer it to the merchant's bank account. Most eCheck transactions are ACH charges.
- A credit or refund is initiated to transfer money back to the customer's bank account.
eCheck information can be used in a range of reports.
