This section describes how to process sale and other offline transactions when internet
connectivity is not available. Here are some things to know before you start performing
offline transactions:
- Contactless transactions are not supported for offline sales.
- Before a terminal can be used to process an offline sale, at least one online transaction must be processed on the terminal.
- You must submit offline transactions for authorization when internet connectivity becomes available. For more information, see Submitting an Offline Transactions Batch for Authorization.
By using this feature, you assume the risk of the failed
transactions, increased fraud, and increased chargebacks. Only process offline
transactions if required, such as when your internet connection is not available. The
recommendation is to process online sale transactions whenever possible. For more
