As of October 18th, 2024, Acquirers will be required to support the enabler verification value (EVV) and Visa will implement changes to reject or return transactions that contain an incorrectly formatted EVV.

Acquirers supporting the enabler identifier value must be aware that they will receive Agent Unique Id and Enabler Verification Value:

When merchants use a payment enabler, this field must be included in an AFT authorization or OCT request:
