Adding a Wi-Fi Network for Proxy Access on the PAX Terminal

Follow these steps to add a Wi-Fi network for proxy access on the PAX terminal:

  1. On the terminal Home screen, tap the
    Settings
    icon. You are prompted to enter the system password.
    • If you are a first-time user, enter the default Settings password:
      pax9876@@
      . Tap the
      Checkmark
      . The Settings screen appears.
      To change the default password, in the Device section, tap
      Password
      . Follow the prompts to change your password.
    • If you changed your password before, enter your system password. Tap the
      Checkmark
      . The Settings screen appears.
  2. In the Wireless & networks section, tap the
    Wi-Fi
    icon. The Wi-Fi screen appears.
  3. On the Wi-Fi screen, tap the
    More Options
    icon (three vertical dots).
  4. Choose
    Add network
    . The Add network screen appears.
  5. In the Network name field, enter the SSID for your Wi-Fi network. This field is case sensitive.
  6. In the Security section, tap the drop-down list arrow. Choose a security type for your Wi-Fi network.

    ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

    If you are prompted to enter a password, enter the password you used to access your Wi-Fi network on the device. Passwords are case sensitive.
  7. To save your settings and return to the Wi-Fi screen, tap
    Save
    . The Wi-Fi screen appears.
  8. On the Wi-Fi screen, tap the name of the Wi-Fi network that you just added.
  9. Enter the Wi-Fi network password. Tap
    Connect
    .
  10. To exit the Wi-Fi screen, tap the back arrow until you reach the Home screen.
