consumerAuthenticationInformation. interactionCounter
Indicates the number of authentication cycles that
the cardholder attempted. It is tracked by the issuing
bank’s ACS.
Example
: When the customer receives the challenge window, enters their one-time
password, and clicks submit, the interaction counter equals 1. When the customer receives
the challenge window, receives the bank message asking if they want the one-time password
sent to their phone or email, and they choose before going to the next screen to enter their
one-time password, the interaction count equals 2. One count is to choose how to have their
one-time password delivered. The second count is for entering the one-time password and
clicking Submit. Specifications
