SDK Version 3.9.1 Release Notes

These release notes are for the Tap to Pay on iPhone SDK, version 3.9.1 for iOS. The release date is 10-16-2026.

Improvements

Added a network-reachability preflight check when the Store and Forward payment service is enabled. The check fails fast on a Wi-Fi network without internet connection and before attempting the transaction.

Fixed Issues

  • Online transactions that failed before the payment card was tapped now correctly return a
    networkError
     message.
  • Tip percentage is now calculated based on the pre-tax amount instead of the tax-inclusive total.
  • Fixed an issue that caused approved transactions to appear as failed or inconclusive.
  • When the device loses its network connection during finalization of a transaction requiring a signature, the transaction is now correctly reported as "inconclusive" rather than as an error.
