Custom Lists
Use this window to create, edit, or delete custom lists. You can define a maximum of 100
custom lists, which you can use in custom rules and as product groups in velocity rules.
For more information on creating custom lists for your product groups, see Creating and Modifying Product Lists.
Each list can contain a maximum of 1000 elements, which can contain 255 characters each.
You can use the same element in several lists. When you save a list, you can immediately
use it in custom and velocity rules. If you need to create more than 100 custom lists,
contact your customer support representative.
The elements of custom lists are not case sensitive. However, the elements of the lists
that you plan to use as product groups in velocity rules are case sensitive.
If you delete a list that is used by a custom or velocity rule, the rule no longer
functions correctly.
WARNING
Custom lists, rules, and fields are not intended to and must not be
used to capture personally identifying information. Accordingly, merchants are
prohibited from capturing, obtaining, and/or transmitting any personally identifying
information in or via custom lists, rules, or fields. Personally identifying
information includes, but is not limited to, address, credit card number, social
security number, driver's license number, state-issued identification number,
passport number, and card verification numbers (CVV, CVC2, CVV2, CID, CVN). In the
event it is discovered that a merchant is capturing and/or transmitting personally
identifying information via custom lists, rules, or fields, whether or not
intentionally, the merchant’s account is immediately suspended, which results in a
rejection of any and all transaction requests submitted by the merchant after the
point of suspension.
If you belong to a group of merchants:
Custom lists function in the same manner as
custom rules: group managers can create lists for the entire group. Merchants can see
the lists created by the group administrator and can create as many as 100 lists for
themselves. Merchants cannot use group lists in their rules and cannot create lists with
a name identical to a list created by the administrator. The background color of the row
distinguishes merchant and group lists. If you use the customer IP address in a custom list, refer to Formatting IP Addresses for Custom Lists.
