Introduction to BIN Lookup

The BIN Lookup service provides payment card account information based on a

bank identification number

(BIN). The BIN is the six-digit or eight-digit card number prefix and is assigned by a payment card company.

You can request the BIN Lookup service using a payment card number, BIN, Token Management Service (TMS) token, or Digital Accept transient token.

BIN Lookup provides this payment card account information:

Card type code
Card brand, such as American Express, Mastercard, or Visa
Account funding source, such as debit or credit
Issuer name
Issuer country
Issuer phone number
