Redirection Mode Payer Authentication

When using Redirection Mode, during a transaction, the cardholder is redirected to the issuer's authentication page. Once redirected, the user is sent a one-time password to the cardholder's previously set email or phone number. If the cardholder re-enters the one-time password successfully, the cardholder is authenticated and the cardholder is redirected back to the merchant site to complete the transaction.

This method may introduce lag time into the purchase transaction due to network processing.
