Process Actions on Transactions

Business Center provides you with the ability to locate and view transactions in any state or phase. Depending on the type of transaction and the phase it is in, you may be able to perform one or more of the following follow on actions:
  • Settle
    : Available for card authorizations that are not settled or reversed.
  • Credit
    : Available for card or electronic check transactions that are settled for which the amount credited does not yet meet the allowed value. It might be less than, equal to, or more than 100% of the original transaction amount.
  • Authorization Reverse
    : Available for authorizations that have not been settled or reversed, provided the processor supports reversals.
  • Void
    : Available for the following types of transactions that are not batched: credit card settlements, credit card credits, electronic check debits, and electronic check credits.
  • View Receipt
    : Available for credit card and electronic check transactions that are settled or credited. Can also be emailed and saved.
  • Print Review
    : Available for all transactions. Displays a print-friendly version of Transaction Details page.
  • Create Profile
    : Available for merchants using the Secure Storage (SS). Creates a secure token based on the selected transaction.
  • New Order
    : Available for all authorizations (sale, credit, settlement with verbal authorization). Creates a new order that is not linked to the selected transaction. You can also process a follow-on merchant-initiated transaction (MIT) from an existing transaction.
  • Create Token
    : Available for merchants using the Token Management Service (TMS). Creates a secure token that is based on the selected transaction.
  • New Authorization
    : Available for all authorizations and sales. Creates a new authorization that is linked to the selected transaction. You can also process a follow-on merchant-initiated transaction (MIT) from an existing transaction.
  • Get Help
    : Available for all transactions. Initiates a request for linked to the selected transaction.
  • Similar Search
    : Available for all transactions to help you find transactions sharing common values with the selected transaction.
  • Case Management Details
    : Available for transactions converted to cases only. Enables user to accept or reject case on the Case Management page.
  • Add Note
    : Available for
    Decision Manager
    transactions only, to add custom notes.
  • Markup Tool
    : Available for
    Decision Manager
    transactions only, to mark a transaction as trusted or suspect.
Additionally, each transaction can have one or more of the following outcomes. Each outcome determines the available actions for that transaction. The result of any transaction appears in the Transaction List according to the following colors:
  • Green
    : successfully processed
  • Red
    : error occurred
  • Grey
    : transaction not processed (for example, a settlement could not be processed because the authorization was unsuccessful).
