Getting started

System Requirements

PHP Compatibility: 8.3, 8.2, 8.1

Prerequisites - Magento – In order to use the Visa Acceptance Solutions Extension please make sure you have the working instance of Adobe Commerce or Magento Open Source.

Prerequisites - Visa Acceptance Solutions

Create REST Keys

a. Sign into your Visa Acceptance Business Center account (Live) or (Test)
b. Access Payment Configuration -> Key Management
c. Select the 'Generate Key' button in the top right hand corner
d. Select your key type as 'REST - Shared Secret' and Generate Key
e. Copy your Shared Secret Key values and save them securely

Enable Unified Checkout

a. Configure your account's Unified Checkout settings, as detailed in the Unified Checkout documentation.

Obtain the extension

a. In the Adobe Commerce Marketplace search for 'Visa Acceptance Solutions' and select the extension developed by Visa, or use this link to reach the listing.

b. Select your Adobe Commerce/Magento 'Edition' & 'Store version' i.e. 'Commerce on Cloud' and '2.4'

c. Add your selection to cart.*

d. Complete checkout*

Upon completion of the checkout, obtain the access keys by navigating to My Profile -> My Products -> Access Keys and copy keys.

*n.b. Although you're required to go through a checkout process the extension is free of charge and no card details are required to be saved within you Magento Marketplace account

Prepare you Magento Environment

After completing step 3 you can now copy your Public and Private Keys into your Magento instance:

a. Go to My Profile -> My Products -> Access Keys

b. Copy both the Public and Private Keys

c. In your Magento instance rename auth.json.sample file to auth.json in the Magento root directory on your server, and enter the access keys from steps above.

d. Replace "Your_Public_key" and "Your_Private_Key" with your access keys

Download the Extension

Now that you've prepared the environment you just need to import the code base through Composer. In order to do this run the following commands:

a. Import the extension code

                composer require cybersource/module-payment

Enable Modules

                php bin/magento module:enable CyberSource_Payment

c. Update, Compile and Deploy*

*n.b. Please run the below lines individually

                php bin/magento setup:di:compile
php bin/magento indexer:reindex
php bin/magento setup:upgrade
php bin/magento setup:static-content:deploy -f
php bin/magento cache:clean
php bin/magento cache:flush
php bin/magento module:status

You can now validate the install has been successful in two ways:

A Visa Acceptance folder structure should now be visible under your 'Vendor' folder.
When accessing Stores -> Configuration -> Sales -> Payment Methods you will see the Visa Acceptance configuration options

Initial Configuration

For in-depth guide on configuring the Extension please refer to the Extension User Guide.

To configure the Visa Acceptance Solutions extension, you need to login into the administration section of your Adobe Commerce website. The configuration panel can be accessed by navigating to the following screen:

Stores > Configuration > Sales > Payment Methods

On the Payment Methods screen, you will see the settings to configure the Visa Acceptance Solutions extension.

General Settings

a. Select your Environment (Test/Production)
b. Enter you Merchant ID (Visa Acceptance Organization ID)
c. Enter your API key and Shared Secret credentials
d. Enable the debug toggle if required for troubleshooting purposes

Secure Payment Methods

a.      Enable - Select “Yes” to enable the Visa Acceptance Solutions extension.
b.      Title - The text saved here is displayed to Customers as the name of payment method
c. Payment Action - Set to either Authorize or Capture to authorize and capture respectively during customer checkout.
d.      Payment Card Types - Select accepted payment card brands.
e. Allowed Payment Method - Choose payment methods through which customer can complete their order.
f. Select Layout - Select Embedded or Side bar as layout to display the Unified Checkout payment widget.
g.   Payment from Applicable Countries - By selecting ‘All Allowed’ Countries option, payment method is aligned with the Adobe Commerce global settings for Customer’s Country. Whereas if set to ‘Specific Countries’ option, Merchant can set the allowed Countries for the Customer.
h.   Payment from Specific Countries - This is a multi-select box allowing the store owner to specify countries that will be allowed for our payment method.
i.   Payer Authentication / 3D Secure - By enabling this option, it adds an additional layer of security to the payments by authenticating customer’s identities before their payments are authorized.
j. Tokenisation - If this setting is enabled, customer can save the cards for future payments.
k. Tokenization Title - This text will specify the title of saved cards payment method.
l. Saved Card Verification - An option is provided to process saved card transaction with or without CVV.
m. Enforce Strong Customer Authentication - if enabled, the cardholder will be 3DS challenged when saving a card.

Tokenisation

To use this feature the ‘Tokenization’ setting must be enabled from the admin configuration panel. If you want customer to enter CVV while using the saved card, then enable ‘Saved Card Verification’ as well.

Payer Authentication / 3D Secure

This integration supports 3D Secure 2.x services, but must be enabled from within the admin configuration under “Payer Authentication / 3D Secure”. Ensure this is enabled where appropriate, as many regions including the European Economic Area (EEA) mandate authentication. 'Enforce Strong Customer Authentication' should also be enabled in such cases.
