Description

The Template Management and Merchant Management features now support the following field for all processors:

Block Duplicate Merchant Reference Numbers

. This field was previously only supported on some processors.

Audience

Users of Template Management and Merchant Management in the Business Center and users of the Template Management and Merchant Management APIs.

Benefit

The field is now supported on all processors. The

Block Duplicate Merchant Reference Numbers

field enables merchants to block duplicate authorization transactions that are received within 15 minutes of the original authorization. The field does not block follow-on transactions; for example, settlement, void, or refund.

Technical Details

In the Business Center, the field can be found in the Template Management and Manage Merchants features.

In the Template Management and Merchant Management APIs, the field name is

enableDuplicateMerchantReferenceNumberBlocking

and is a boolean data type that accepts

true

and

false

values.
