Benefit

The

field is used to enable merchants to send the full details of the 3D-Secure 2 authentication result from the issuer to the acquirer in their subsequent authorization request. Using the

exemptionDataRaw

field supports the 3D-Secure 2 rules in the French market for low fraud processing and allows merchants to request exemptions during authentication, thereby improving approval rates with lower consumer friction.

Technical Details

Merchants should update their integration to pass the data from the

consumerAuthenticationInformation.exemptionDataRaw

field in the Payer Authentication response to the

consumerAuthenticationInformation.strongAuthentication. issuerInformation.exemptionDataRaw

field in the subsequent transaction authorization request.
