Features Introduced This Week

We added an API field for payment transactions that you can use to specify your Mastercard-Assigned Identifier (MAID) or Merchant Verification Value (MMV). MAID is for Mastercard and MVV is for Visa.

Users of the API who want to specify their MAID or MVV.

This update enables you to add the MAID or MVV to transactions yourself. Previously, the MAID or MVV had to be added by teams managing your account configuration.

Decision Manager users can now designate rules as one of two new, optional rule types: Fraud or Business. You can use the new types to filter results. Results can be further filtered by adding two alpha-numeric characters of your own choosing.

Enabled by default for all accounts that use Decision Manager.

The ability to differentiate between transactions rejected for fraud and transactions rejected due to business rules provides improved analysis and clearer insight into the effectiveness of a merchant’s fraud strategy.

To use this new feature, navigate to the Rule Editor section of Decision Manager and check the box enabling the Rule Type Designation feature. Select whether the rule is a Fraud or Business rule. You can then add two characters of your choosing to the optional free text field for further filtering.

You can now add a customized business name in the email settings for a merchant account in the Business Center. This can enhance the registration emails that merchants receive during boarding.

The Partner Risk Controls (PaRC) feature in the Business Center has been enhanced so that the Active Risk Controls Dashboard now displays all rejected transaction instead of 50 at a time.

The Digital Payment Method search filter in the Transaction Search page of the Business Center is renamed Payment Solution. Some items in that filter's drop-down menus have been added, removed, or reorganized. For details, see Technical Details.
