Country, Region, and Territory Postal System Reliability
All postal systems are not created equally. The postal addresses of the world vary in
their reliability according to how well a regional postal system can maintain its postal
address database. DAV uses the databases maintained by these various postal systems to
verify order address information. Countries, regions, and territories are grouped into
five categories according to the reliability of their postal system databases.
If DAV cannot verify an address completely, or if the address cannot
be matched with a postal database entry, you cannot receive a successful response. If
the address is listed in a postal database, the service validates the accuracy of the
address provided by the customer.
