Testing the CCC

This chapter explains how to test the CCC.

Testing the CyberSource Commerce Cartridge

After you install and activate the CyberSource Commerce Cartridge, run a test transaction to ensure functionality and help you become familiar with how it works.

Configuring the CCC to Run a Test Transaction

  1. Go to the Welcome to Intershop 4 page at the following URL:
  2. http://yourservername/isroot/index.html
  3. In the Training Store, select Back Office.
  4. The Back Office page appears.
  5. Enter the case-sensitive log on name and password (the default for both is admin).
  6. Click Login.
  7. The Welcome to Intershop 4 Back Office page appears.
  8. Select the System Admin tab from the menu bar at the bottom of the page.
  9. A System Administration Main Menu page appears. This page includes a number of eCommerce Web site configuration sections.
  10. Scroll down to the Cartridge Administration Menu section. Select the CyberSource Configuration link.
  11. The CyberSource System Administration page appears, as shown in Figure 3 and Figure 4.
  12. Verify that the Enable CyberSource check box is selected at the top of the page.
  13. In the Merchant ID field, enter your merchant ID. For transactions using CyberSource services, such as tax, use the default merchant ID.
  14. Choose Test Server as your CyberSource Server for staging and testing. Choose Production Server only when you are ready to bring your eCommerce Web site live.
  15. If you want to authorize the credit card and capture payment simultaneously, while the customer is at the eCommerce site, select Authorization & Capture as the Authorization Type.
  16. If you want to authorize the credit card in one step, then capture payment later from the back office, select Authorization Only. The default is Authorization Only.
  17. Select Automatically Refund to enable CyberSource to automatically refund payment on cancelled orders. If this box is selected and payment is received, the customer directly receives credit if the order is cancelled. If the amount was authorized but not yet captured, payment is not captured if the order is cancelled.
  18. For testing purposes, ignore the Transaction Log section.
  19. Click Save.
  20. Select the System Admin tab from the menu bar at the bottom of the page.
  21. The System Administration Main Menu page appears.
  22. In the Payment Method Settings section, select the Payment Method Settings link.
  23. The Payment Method Settings page appears, as shown in Figure 6.
  24. Select the CyberSource check boxes Enabled, For New Customers, and Non-Member Checkout, and select Default.
  25. Click Save.

Completing a CCC Transaction

  1. On the Welcome to Intershop 4 page, select the Training Store link.
  2. The Intershop demonstration transition page appears.
  3. Click the Here link to continue.
  4. The Training Store page appears.
  5. Select any product.
  6. A Product Browser page appears.
  7. Scroll down, then select Add to Basket.
  8. For testing purposes, select the I Want to Order Without Using a Membership link.
  9. A Non-Member Checkout page appears.
    If you want to test more than one item, change the quantity, then click the Update icon.
  10. Complete each of the required fields, as well as the State and Phone fields.
  11. Warning  CyberSource services require your customer to enter information in the State and Phone fields, even though the member checkout Web page indicates that State and Phone are not required fields. If these fields are left blank, CyberSource services will not function.

  12. In the Payment Method menu box, select CyberSource.
  13. Click OK.
  14. Verify that the order information is correct.
  15. Select Order Now.
  16. A Payment page appears.
  17. For testing purposes, enter the following credit card number and expiration date:
  18. 4111111111111111
    01 2005
  19. Click Order Now.
  20. A Java message box appears, then a page appears specifying an order number and indicating that the transaction is complete.
  21. Click OK.
  22. An email confirmation of your test order is sent to you.
