Perform a Factory Reset on the PAX Terminal {#pax-terminal-factory-reset-task}

Follow these steps to perform a factory reset on a PAX terminal.

1. On the terminal Home screen, tap the Settings icon. Enter your password. The Setting screen appears. If you have not created a custom password, see [Create a Password for the PAX Terminal Settings Menu](/docs/cybs/en-us/pax-a77/activation/all/pax-a77/pax-a77/pax-terminal-configure-connect-intro/pax-terminal-configure-connection-pw.md "").
2. On the Settings screen, tap System.
3. Choose Reset options.
4. Tap Erase all data (factory reset).
5. Choose RESET DEVICE.
6. Tap ERASE EVERYTHING. The reset process starts on the device.
